Welcome Back

Well, it's been a while since my last post. So just to catch up:

At that time, I got caught up in my own training such as a Never Work Again course with the T Harv Eker group and since then a number of Real Estate investment opportunities and trainings so as to build some passive income. Am still structuring my retirement -- it's getting closer all the time -- and recently joined the Live Out Loud family for focused coaching on cash building and passive income.

My investments went down during the 2008 drop, but not as bad as many. I credit diversification, a world-wide focus, and awareness of how the mutual fund investments were doing to helping me stay under a 30% loss at the height of the drop -- for the account I was paying attention to. Other accounts didn't do so well; need to work on my sell discipline still. :)

Comments on what you'd like to discuss in this arena will help me create future blogs and start to form a discussion group. Am also doing a refinance currently and planning how to have more tax-free income during retirement; happy to discuss that as well. Let me know what you're interested in and stay well.

Time Out

Time freedom is the ability to choose to work (or play) at what you want when you want. Just about anyone can be a Millionaire when they retire with a little financial planning and the power of compounding, if they start young enough -- even in their 20s. For those of us who didn't plan that well financially and are now working, we need to plan for enough cash flow and growth when we retire (at whatever age), preferably using passive income structures that we have developed and grown along the way.

Today I was changing the look and feel of this space to make it easier to ask questions and search for answers. In my own life, I am developing multiple streams of income to make my retirement from work easier. My 401(k) and IRAs improved with the market this past month -- always a nice thing since that is all tax deferred until I start taking money out -- and my health and wellness side business is in momentum and growing (and I feel great too).

See my prior post for the intent of this series -- I will include articles and reviews on various retirement, tax, and financial topics, plus I would like to respond to your issues as well and know what my audience is interested in. Comments and suggestions are always welcome.

Financial Planning is my game -- say hello

Hi, welcome to my first blog. I'll be discussing tips and ideas relating to finance and investing for the regular person. My goal: to retire within five years, with a steady passive income and lots of good karma. This involves financial planning, retirement planning, tax awareness, and considerations for a healthy lifestyle -- since wealth without health would not be a life I choose.

I am currently exploring ways to retire with a comfortable income within a few years and I am now starting to explore some other investing opportunities in addition to my portfolio, IRA, and 401(K) accounts. I am not a professional in this field and cannot formally offer legal, tax, or professional advice; you should always do your own due dilegence. However, I have built my own portfolio and have advised friends on things to look for and things to watch out for both relating to investing and tax planning. Since January, I have also successfully been improving my personal nutrition and energy using the Isagenix Health and Wellness System as highlighted in Jack Canfield's Chicken Soup for the Healthy Soul among other references (see the IsaVideos link on the left side of www.GoldenLife.Isagenix.com for more information).

I'd like to extend my understanding by discussing different topics with you. I will be including articles on various tax, finance, income generation, and retirement topics on a regular basis. I will also supply links to other locations for information in certain areas. As of now, the first series of articles planned will be on IRAs: the various options and the power of compounding for all ages -- the earlier you start the better. :)

If you have questions, ideas for future topics, or suggestions, I'd love to hear from you as well.
